Decision Support
The Decision Support team supports the information needs of the Executive and Committees through the development of services in the area of Executive and Committee reporting. This includes the preparation of the University’s Consolidated Accrual Budget which assists management to understand the University’s actual performance against planned outcomes, together with providing information regarding the full year result. A budgeting software package (Advisor) and budget process have been developed to assist Faculties, Offices and other units in preparing budgets for all revenue, expenditure and capital for the next three years. A Student Enrolment Cost Allocation Model has also been developed to assist individual Schools in attaining understanding and efficiency in allocation of income and costs at all levels down to the teaching unit level. The team maintains the following and provides support to the faculty accountants to assist the Schools in the following areas: - Use of Advisor for Consolidated University budget and reforecast
